WEEK 7

The Name to my Artifact - 

Since my gap was creating a website to showcase my paintings I had named my website earlier in the course as Enjoying Paintings. Aesthetic Art is the name of my next website which I got from short listing a number of names using a rubric based on length, association, spelling, tone and ease of saying

 

 My Gap -  I would like to create a website to display paintings on a website so that it can be viewed by others

My key needs -   Create a Website to Share our talent-   Website to share the process, Website to share the experiences, Website to share the thoughts of the paintings, website with slide show of gallery of pictures,Create a Website to Connect , a website to Showcase the talent ,  to share reflection ,Create a website to develop the progress.

 

 It has been a wonderful experience during the past few weeks of the course. I have got a deeper understanding on Design. Since I always wanted to create a website for my paintings, through this course I learnt to create a website using Webnode. I used the same webnode to create my own website on paintings. As I am artist I always wanted to display my paintings on a website.

It all started with the ten sketches made for the website design and the best four were selected using the design matrix.

Prototypes - Initially I created four prototypes and presented to few users after taking their feedback, finally selected the prototype which scored the highest in a given matrix to grade each prototype

 

 Then I made the ALPHA prototype of the website. I have introduced to some of the users and tried to improve on the design.

BETA Prototype -  After taking the user suggestions and figuring out ways to improve like keeping the same format of design on on all web pages and adding  title and description for paintings,  I came up with the BETA prototype or the final design for the website.

MY NEXT STEP -  Now that I have learnt the Design Concept and creating a website through this course I would like to make one or two more websites base on the Design Concept making the prototypes which gives a better understanding of the whole process. In future I could make online lessons on the process of Creating Painting on the website. I could make an online gallery where artists could post their art work on the website. To start of I would like to work on my website of my paintings and try to refine and improvise on it.
